NVIDIA and Meta expand their work on Muse, and NVIDIA says it will invest $3 billion

NVIDIA's newsroom post, dated 26 October 2026, says NVIDIA and Meta will expand their work on Muse and the Muse family of models, to improve inference and training performance. The post says NVIDIA will invest $3 billion in Meta's equity offering. It says Meta intends to expand deployment of NVIDIA Vera Rubin and Vera CPUs for next-generation AI agents, and that Meta will also deploy NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and BlueField-4. The companies will also consider NVIDIA's OpenShell Reference Architecture. The post says that includes OpenShell for safe deployment and Sentry for monitoring agent behaviour. A summary on the same page says they are considering OpenShell to strengthen agency security, and Sentry for monitoring structured, unstructured and graph data processing.

Meta's investor release the same day describes the offering as approximately $35 billion of underwritten public offerings, made up of approximately $22.5 billion of Class A common stock and approximately $12.5 billion of depositary shares, plus an at-the-market program of up to $60 billion. Meta says that program is not agreed, that its timing, size and terms are not set, and that there is no assurance it will be established or that any shares will be sold under it. CNBC reported the plan, the same day, as a total of $95 billion. The Meta release also says NVIDIA, AMD and Broadcom have indicated an interest in buying up to $5 billion of the Class A shares in total, and that those indications are not binding commitments. The NVIDIA post states the $3 billion figure on its own and does not mention the other two companies.

What it means for business: this is a commercial announcement. It does not release a new Muse model, and it does not create a legal duty. The NVIDIA post gives no closing date for the $3 billion and no date for the extra Vera Rubin, Vera CPU, Spectrum-X or BlueField-4 deployments. OpenShell and Sentry are described as under consideration.
