15 Oct 2026 · added 17 Oct 2026

The White House Super Intelligence Force adopted its charter after its first official meeting on 15 October, starting its 120-day window, Semafor reported from a White House announcement. The task force will commission a report from the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology on AI risk in three areas: cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection, biosecurity and dual-use applications, and model control and accountability. It also set up a working group to implement the White House Accord on Super Intelligence, an effort to develop protocols for labs to tell the government about breaches, hacks and other cyber issues, and a law enforcement and consumer protection coordination committee including the Justice Department and the FTC. Semafor said it is not yet clear how compliance will be enforced.

What it means for business: frontier AI developers should prepare for government protocols on reporting breaches and hacks; others should watch for the risk report.
