Meta releases weights for its largest open model

Meta released Muse Spark Open, an 816-billion-parameter open-weight model, under its Muse Model License, saying it passed the release thresholds in its own scaling framework. It can run on two high-end desktop machines.

What it means for business: firms can now run a frontier-class model in-house; licence terms and EU open-source GPAI rules still apply.
