Six AI companies sign White House accord on controls and external audits

Google, Anthropic, Meta, OpenAI, xAI and Nvidia signed a voluntary White House Accord on Super Intelligence. Each committed to internal controls to monitor model capabilities and stop unintended hacking, an internal assurance team, an independent external auditor or evaluator, and a board committee overseeing them. Signatories will meet to set standards.

What it means for business: voluntary, but it previews what future US rules could codify; ask frontier vendors about their audit arrangements.
